Absolutely Love It!

Pros: easy to use, Performance, value for money

We've only had this fax machine for a few months, but we just love it! The outgoing and incoming faxes are crystal clear - it handles multiple pages flawlessly - very user friendly!

Great Until It Broke

Would have given a decent rating until it abruptly broke after only four and a half months of use. Printed papar jammed. Cleared jam but printed pages will not go through and come out the slot meant for it. Instead it just crunches the paper like an accordian and it has to be pulled out from the back. .

Costly replacements

Cons: expensive

I like the unit, but the replacement cost are very high. It costs over $100.00 to replace the drum--which mine is telling me to do. It will not operate now unless I do that. It would make more sense to buy a new one. I have had this unit just under 2 years. I would not recommend it.

3 years later

Purchased this unit 3 years ago and until recently have had no problems. I think we may have worn it out. I will defintely buy the same unit again.

Maybe they DO make them like they used to.

I've had this machine for over a year, and it is still going strong despite the fact that I use it for a higher volume than it's intended. There are two flaws: The first is that when paper is jammed from the tray, the machine must be rebooted to clear the error, which causes any documents in memory to be lost, including any incoming faxes. The second is that the software available form Brother will only run one Brother machine at a time, so if you install a Brother brand printer, for example, to the same PC, it will have to remove the original first. These two flaws are not too troublesome, though: I will be replacing this one with another of the same model because I broke this one.

Great machine for the price!

Pros: great value for the price!
Cons: none so far!

We've replace two of our old fax machines with this model. Plenty of features and good quality for the price. Probably not the answer for those needing a high volume machine, but more than adequate for those with medium to light faxing needs.
