I have used a Sharp calculator my whole career (20+ years), purchased one for personal use. This last one I purchased has been nothing but trouble, constantly having to deal with the tape feed becoming jammed - very poor quality - I am sorry to say because now I have to look for a new brand, with better quality and relearn the way to use the calcualtor quickly and efficiently.

My old one worked for 18 years.
Pros: speed, long lasting, large display
I bought this machine Feb 1993 for my business. It just quit today. The keys are not working. Not bad for 18 years!! I am buying the 2630 model because I need the speed and the large display.

Not the same as the older version of this model
I purchased this calculator about 3 years ago and I did because I used the older version of this model before that for 7+ years with no problems. The older version is a work horse.
This new version is cheap. The plastic cog holding the ink roller broke into three pieces. I have babied this calculator and it should not have broken.
Buy the Canon or the Casio!

Best calculator
Pros: Display Screen, easy to use, features, Performance, value for money, design, quiet, reliable
I purchased this calculator about 6 years ago. It has been very reliable until recently. The ON switch has become unpredictable. All other functions have been reliable. I like the size of the print on the print screen and the layout of the keys. Very fast.
