Excellent layout. Adjustable shelves are well thought through for a computer workstation. I like the fact that I can hide nearly all of my computer components. Gives the office a nice clean look.
It's a budget desk (not solid wood), but I'm actually impressed with the quality and durability. Nothing split or cracked during assembly (or when I CAREFULLY moved the whole unit into the corner of my office). The drawer slides and sliding keyboard tray all have a sturdy and very smooth feel to them. (I hate flimsy rail systems.)
Took a good 2+ hours to assemble the desk and matching hutch -- and I've built these kinds of workstations before. So, give yourself some time.
Came packaged very well. No dings, scratches, etc.
Note: if you buy espresso, the filing cabinet drawer is INTENTIONALLY honey maple on the inside. I called OD, and confirmed that. Now that I have it built, it's actually a very nice touch having the lighter wood inside!
Note: If you put your computer tower inside the tower cabinet, do what I and others did and cut out about the top 6 inches of the "cardboard backing" to get better ventilation. Protect your computer.
Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this desk again... particularly at the sale price. :)

Very classy, stylish, solid desk. Brushed stainless steel handles are a refreshing contrast to the typical "dorm-room" look of assemble-it-yourself furniture. The solid look and feel come at a cost, however: assembly was a rather grueling 3-hour affair. But that's to be expected. Most such furniture pieces are too flimsy, but this desk is solid as a rock once assembled. I'm extremely pleased with the quality of the construction, style, and utility of the piece.

Great desk especially for the price!

I don't know what some of these other reviewers are complaining about. This desk is made extremely solid, the packaging was almost annoying because everything was packed so well with styrofoam and plastic, every piece was labeled and the directions were easy to understand! Heck, they even give the directions in multiple languages to make sure you understand! After putting it all together (which took a couple hours), it took me more time to move all my computer components from my old desk to my new desk.
So far, the only complaint I've found has to do with the compartment where the CPU goes. When running the computer and having the desks front door closed, it generates A LOT of heat and gets very warm in there. So, I had to leave the door open just to get some ventilation. I'm going to resolve this by cutting a hole out of the back panel where the CPU goes. This should allow for more air flow and hopefully prevent it from overheating.

Desk looks really nice, by being in the corner it really opens up my office. was easy to put together. everything was labeled correctly and instructions were clear enough.
My only con so far is the size of the keyboard tray. I have a gaming keyboard that measures 21.2 inches long, which . they keyboard tray is maybe 23 inches. so I have to use my mouse on top of the desk and keyboard that is under. They have the room for a larger tray. why they chose to use such a small try boggles my mind. dropped it one star for that.

This was an excellent purchase. I followed the directions - *important to note because I'm a man and think I can put anything together just by seeing a picture - and I put it together in about 20 minutes. My wife and I love it. I do recommend this desk.

Bought this at my local store. When I got it home and upackaged, I noticed the edge of the desk was "dinged" and the light colored particle board shows up as quite a contrast on the "expresso" finish. After getting the parts unboxed, I realized that most of the parts were "expresso", and some were honey oak. In addition to parts of two colors that don't match, there were no instructions in the box to help with assembly. The pieces are labeled with "A", "B", etc. but it doesn't help much when you have no instructions to find out which of these to assemble first. I think I'll shove it back in the box, return it, and go somewhere else to try and get a desk that at least has assembly instructions.

I got this desk on sale and it was great for the price. Fit perfectly in my corner and i think its a great table for a college student like myself. However i'm glad i didn't buy it during the semester b/c it was a pain to assemble! The stickers on the wood had fallen off some of the pieces so i had to assemble the table a few times. The instructions to make weren't the best. Overall i like it but didn't like the battle to make it. Gave overall 3 stars b/c of assembly but i like the desk after though

of all the desks me and my wife looked for this was the one that caught our eye.
it is a very beautiful desk. the instructions are laid out in a easy to understand format. Shipping is free if you buy it online.
1person installation was about 2.5hours. I can not attest to the durability of this desk as i've had it less than a day but it looks well made. A+

Cons: Difficult to Assemble
Truth is, We (me and my wife) were not expecting this beautiful table at this price. Though it took little more time to build than our expectation but i liked the quality of the material and firmness of the table. It looks that it is going to be a very nice and durable desk.
CONS: every part has a number which is labeld with cheap stickers and some of the stickers were missing from the parts and we had to figure it out.
