I purchased this product. It is particle board with wood veneer. It does look very nice. I do not ever plan on having this disassembled so to make it more solid, during assembly I used wood glue on each of the dowels.
The parts for assembly are very well laid out. Each step has all its parts in a separate bag. I've never seen this before, and I consider this awesome. It did take a few hours though. It would be nice if I could purchase assembly at the same time as purchasing the product.
The bottom of each drawer could be more solid. The back of the file cabinet could be more solid.

One of the best "assembly required" purchases I've ever made. It was packed very well for shipping (no damage to any parts). The instructions were clear. What I liked best was that the hardware was separated into separate packets for each step. That way, it was easy to do the parts inventory one step at a time, rather than dump a huge bag of parts on the floor and start checking them off against a very large list. The assembly took a couple of hours, but that's because the construction is so solid. I would not take away any of the parts to make the assembly faster because it would compromise on the overall integrity of the assembled file cabinet. The finished product looks great and is very solid.

The file cabinet was assembled within one hour and it works great. The manufacturer even provides you with spare parts, which I thought was an added plus.

Looks Nice but not Robust & Avg Quality

This product looks nice and is competitive price-wise. It is not very robust though.. if you expect to move this around or use it heavily every day, it won't last for long.. it will literally come apart!
For some reason, the manufacturer used pretty nice pieces of wood but then used very cheap assembly hardware and the different parts are not cut precisely so they don't fit perfectly with each other. I had to call the 800 number and order replacement cams because the ones I have broke... I also ran out of glue so ordered more!
Nice product, just does not come together as nice as it should! I don't think I will take this with me when I move next, it will fall apart in the moving truck!!

Cons: one locking drawer
Wish all the drawers locked, should have noticed that, but assumed that all file cabinets locked. Medium cherry was darker then I expected, and assembly was a little daunting as there were quite a few pieces, but it all came together and we are generally pleased with the outcome.

Assembly took my husband and son an hour. They opted not to use the glue for the wooden pegs. Drawers glide nicely. Attractive piece of office furniture. The medium cherry color is darker than I expected but it looks rich so I'm keeping it.

The assembly was easy, everything went together without any problems. I love the quiet, smooth sliding drawers. Plenty of room in each one. It is sturdy and looks great too! Definitely would recommend this to anyone who needs a file cabinet.
