Beautiful Armoire
Pros: Appearance/Design, functional, Quality of Material, Size & Weight, Well Made/ Sturdy
Cons: Difficult to Assemble
I am very pleased with my purchase. I did a lot of research before deciding on this armoire. The main reason that I chose this one is because it was much taller than other armoires that I found in this price range (I needed the height against an 11 ft. wall) and, when it is closed, it blends well with the other furniture in my open kitchen/living area. I read other reviews before purchasing, so I knew that it was going to take me a while to assemble. It ended up taking me 6 hours. The instructions were pretty clear. I had to study some of the descriptions longer than others, but in the end, the only mistake that I made was putting the magnetic catches backwards into the long and short skirt pieces so now, the doors won't close. Unfortunately, once you put the magnetic catches into the skirts, you can't get them back out, so I contacted Sauder and they are sending me replacement pieces for free (with the exception of shipping). I love good service. Overall, I am very pleased and will be even happier when the doors close.

Great design
Pros: Appearance/Design, features, functional
Cons: Difficult to Assemble, Size & Weight
While I can attest to the earlier comment regarding excessive time it takes to assemble, the overall design quality was excellent and the written instructions were thorough. Only design quality issue I have is with the valance trim pieces which have a colored film material on them that rubbed off easily on the mitered edges during assembly. Some pre-assembly (hinges/slides, etc.) would have been appreciated.

I thought the first review was fake
Pros: Appearance/Design, features, functional, Well Made/ Sturdy, well priced
Cons: Difficult to Assemble
I bought this computer armoire after hours and hours of researching computer armoires online. Its Awesome! For the price it seemed to be the best one as most of the nicer looking ones that offered these features ran $1500-$2800. I was a little suspect of the first review in that it was such a "glowing" review and all the features were outlined so well that I thought it must have been a fake review posted by the manufacturer. It is not solid wood but particleboard with a wood veneer but you cant tell at all. Its solid and sturdy. The only complaint I have is that it took forever to assemble (6hrs and Im a handy guy) All in all its a great piece of home office furniture and Id buy it again.

Beautiful and sturdy
Pros: hinged doors with magnetic closures, solid construction, cut-outs in back for cords, adjustable shelves-two glass and two wood, pull-out desk area on smooth gliders, pull-out keyboard area as well, pull-out printer shelf which is large
Cons: drawers are not deep
I had looked a long time for an armoire for our home office. This one is good looking as well as functional. Sturdy as well. Many fine details only found on furniture at least twice the price. There is recessed lighting, carved moulding and turned feet, to mention just a few. We have a laptop but there is plenty of room for a regular desktop computer and all the other pieces that go along with it. Or like us, you can use it as a parking space for a laptop and house a flat-screen tv as well. So far the only drawback I have found is the drawers (1 file drawer and 2 plain drawers that come with inserts for CD's and DVD's) are not as deep as they could be. Would have liked more drawer space and/or an extra shelf. The shelves are adjustable which is great I just wish an extra shelf came with the armoire if you wanted to make an extra area but I can get a piece of wood cut to size--the finish may be difficult to replicate though. Speaking of the finish--the overall look is more of an espresso/deep chocolate since it looks to be a black glaze over a cherry wood. It is distressed so streaks of the cherry show through. Very smart but if you are expecting a true black you would be disappointed. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a desk area but wants to be able to close it up and enjoy the beauty of the piece. Could work very well in many rooms of a home.
