Good Idea, Does Not Work

Pros: l like the shape
Cons: does not work with carpet pad
I have had this mat in the past and it lasted 3 or 4 years. It was replaced by this mat which looked to be the same, but the material must be different because after only 2 months it starts cracking. This may work if you have no pad under your carpet or if you weigh under 150 pounds.

Too Thin

Pros: great rounded sides for l shape desk
Cons: too thin. you sink into it if u sit 2 long
I received this product and was very happy with the expanded size. But the big disapointment came when laying this down and using it. The sides after several weeks still curl up a bit and I keep triping over it. No fun with Bear Feet. And it seem a bit too thin. Like others I've used I tend to leave indentations where the chair wheels were and it's hard to roll out of. Seems thin compared to other carpet mats I've used in the past. I don't know if they're all this way not to make more money or not.

Terrible Quality

Pros: none
Cons: poor quality
I had this product less than 6 months and it has cracked and broken apart.
It started cracking within 60 days and now it has a hole that has totally broken thru.
Do Not waste your money!

Poor Quality

Didn't last long at all, cracked and little plastic pieces chipping off.

Very Disappointed

Pros: Appearance/Design
Cons: Quality: Flimsy
If you're planning to use this mat with an indoor/outdoor type carpet with no padding, this product might work for you. The design is elegant for an L-shaped desk, but it is very flimsy. I am not a big guy (130lbs) and my carpet with padding is not thick (well under 1/2") but with my five caster chair it started dimpling right away. Within a couple of days the divits were so bad that I would get stuck. Don't beleive where the description says "Ideal for shag carpets more than 3/4" thick (including padding)." After a week, I had OD pickup the chair mat and bring me the 60"x60" Execumat (Very pricey at $249, but worth every penny).

Cracks After One Year

Pros: functional
Cons: Quality: Flimsy
It just amazes me that manufactures can't make these things to last. Great design but poor materials. Like everybody else, this product does not hold up. I would not recommend it.

Good Design, Terrible Quality

Pros: Appearance/Design, functional
Cons: Quality: Flimsy
I've had the same experience that most of the other reviewers of this product have had. After about 1 year cracks started to appear, then got bigger, then divided into smaller cracks that are now starting to join so that soon I expect pieces to start breaking off and leaving a hole in the mat. In short, a bad value - high price and poor quality.
Unfortunately, I have not found many other options for an L-shaped desk.

Not what it's cracked up to be

Pros: Appearance/Design, functional
Cons: Easily Damaged, Quality: Flimsy
Or rather, it's pretty cracked up after nearly two years of use. However, it began cracking even before the first year. Overall, I liked the design and it worked well while it was in it's prime. Unfortunately, it began to show it's age, like all of us, when the first stress lines appeared. Then it started snapping in those spots and the lines grew deeper and longer. I tried putting clear duct tape to prevent the cracks from getting bigger, but it's made the whole mat a bit of a sticky mess. It's a pity this didn't last as long as the warranty said it would.

Probably the worst chair mat made. Cracked within a year, is coming apart, certainly not worth the price.

Very Good

I have had this mat for three years no problem. It depends on the thickness of your carpet. If your carpet is thick then there will be more of a chance the mat cracks. The less cushion on the carpet the longer it last.
