This DVD player provides good sound quality and picture quality. It plays mini-DVDs from a Sony DVD camcorder, which was the main feature after quality of picture and sound that I was looking for. It's battery life is acceptable especially for my purpose of showing short DVD clips taken with the camcorder. Another main selling point was the fact that the DVD loads from the back so children do not have access to that and the device can be easily viewed at close distances such as on a student's wheelchair tray. The battery is the stand for the device and this is a sturdy feature vs. plastic 'legs' or wire 'legs' to make it stand up. The screen size is a good size for a portable device. All-in-all it was a good purchase and I will be purchasing more for my school especially if they go on sale or have a rebate again.
