Weak Points Fixed
I bought this chair several months ago and it has been great.
Several people noted a problem where it only had two bolts holding the backrest. I can attest that this has been resolved. My chair has four bolts. An office I work in has half a dozen manufactured over a year ago and they do have the two-bolt design. So someone has been listening to the feedback and has redesigned. Thanks to the reviewers for the feedback and to Office Depot for responding.

Great Chair
I bought this chair after much review. I use it for my home office. I spend 6-8 hours a day sitting on this baby. For the price, you can't beat this product. Assembly took me 15 minutes. It is very comfortable. I honestly can't tell the difference between this chair and more high end chairs out there. I have lower back issue S4-S5 for those who feel my pain and this chair has done me well. You need a chair that motivates you to sit behind your PC and get work done. I'm quite happy with this purchase.

Looks like a Herman Miller
Pros: Quality of Material, features, Appearance/Design, Well Made/ Sturdy
Cons: Size & Weight, seat too small, back rest does not stay up
Decent enough chair. Seat is too small for my posterior and hard edges that hold the mesh webbing bite into my hip bones. Back rest, which adjusts up and down will not stay in elevated position. Hoping a memory foam seat bottom cushion will help the first challenge, but, I guess I am stuck with the other.

Review 5 for Realspace® PRO Quantum Mesh Mid-Back Task Chair, 43 3/4H x 29 1/2W x 28D, Black
Pros: Quality of Material, features, Appearance/Design, comfortable, Well Made/ Sturdy
I first purchased this chair at OD about 9 months ago. It was a replacement for an older 'executive' back chair that was beginning to cause me discomfort working long hours. When I say this chair, it reminded me of the Raynor "Ergo Human" line in all respects. I later found that it is indeed made for OD by the Raynor Group. If you have "Herman Miller" comfort needs and a basic budget, this is the chair for you. Infinitely comfortable and adjustable--solid cast aluminum and polycarbonate frame. I believe that this chair is more comfortable and convenient than the HM I had years ago. The web material is comfortable and smooth, so no issues there.
Quality is excellent, and all replacement parts are available from Raynor Group itself. My wife who works from a virtual home office as well liked it so well that we bought a second one for her three months ago! After using one of these for a week, you will never go back to a padded office chair...

Great Design, Great Quality
Pros: Quality of Material, functional, features, Appearance/Design, comfortable, Size & Weight, Well Made/ Sturdy
All components and hardware on this chair are well designed and of high quality. They thought of everything. Allen wrench, extra screws and thread locker on the screw threads.
Easy to assemble.
It is comfortable and adjustable. It is less than half the price of the one I have at work!

Comfort at last!
Pros: Quality of Material, functional, features, comfortable, Appearance/Design, Well Made/ Sturdy, Size & Weight
Cons: chair does not adjust high enough
Great chair! My back is in heaven already. It was fairly easy to put together - although the wheels took a bit of elbow grease. It looks great and the weight is substantial so it feels like a quality chair. Would have liked it if the chair could go a tad higher so I can comfortably use my other desk.

Great Office Chair
Pros: Quality of Material, functional, features, comfortable, Appearance/Design, Well Made/ Sturdy, Size & Weight
This is my second purchase of The Realspace Pro.I bought one for my wife about 8 months ago and she loves it. With the purchase of a second computer I needed another chair. There really was no hesitation this chair is so comfortable. Adjustments are numerous, you can sit low to the floor or high, recline, seat moves forward and back for lumbar support, arm rests up or down left or right all at the touch of small levers at the left or right of the seat. This chair is well built solid and easy to assemble. If you spend much time at all at a desk or in front of a computer do yourself a favour and buy one. Highly reccomended.

Great Chair! Great Service!
Pros: Appearance/Design, comfortable, Size & Weight, Well Made/ Sturdy
I purchased this chair for my husband's home office. I was looking for quality at an affordable price. I was impressed. The quality and weight of the chair lend itself to a much higher price point. Assembling the chair was easy and took under 20 mintues. The ease of ordering this online and the timely shipment were also most impressive. I received telephone calls from Office Depot indicating the expected shipment time as well as a call once it was delivered. I highly recommend this chair!!

Review 11 for Realspace® PRO Quantum Mesh Mid-Back Task Chair, 43 3/4H x 29 1/2W x 28D, Black
This chair has a lot of adjustability: arm height and width, seat depth and height, back angle and height. It is the first mesh chair I have owned and I love the comfort. I have had the chair for 3 months and I am pretty satisfied. It was the most adjustable chair I could find at this price. The chair is solidly built; It is made of solid steel pieces and built to last. The mesh seat and back is as comfortable as can be. Previous chairs I have owned always would cause me a pain in the seat when on marathon gaming sessions. Not this one! Assembly was easy enough. Definitely would recommend it.

For this price, this chair can't be beat!
Pros: Quality of Material, functional, features, comfortable, Appearance/Design, Well Made/ Sturdy, Size & Weight
Mesh chairs - ALL MESH, not this mix of mesh back and leather seat stuff - are hard to come by. And quality ones are even harder to find. Most inexpensive ones have mediocre construction at best, a stark lack of features, and to sit in the chair in shorts (or a skirt for the ladies) would lead to some awful discomfort b/c the fabric is so abrasive.
This Realspace Pro Quantum model is by far the best-spec'd chair that I found for less than $800. The best part, though, is that the "on paper" specs are equal to or exceeded by the actual "real-life" quality of the chair! It is very comfortable, has a wide range of adjustment capabilities, and seems very solidly built. It went together in about 10 minutes, and I was enjoyed a well-ventilated and comfortable seated experience at my desk not long at all after I get the chair home from the store!
Seriously, you'd have to go to a "Herman Miller" type of chair to get this level of features and comfort in most cases. Unfortunately, those are far too pricey for most small-mid businesses. Do yourself a favor - get down to Office Depot and get this chair for your office!

Comfortable, but quality issues
Pros: comfort
Cons: quality
I inherited my chair after a co-worker left. It is a comfortable chair but I had issues with the back rest, it would not stay in position, it fell and would not reset ever again. After about 2 years the bolts sheared off and when I leaned back and heard a snap so I leaned forward while the chair back fell to the floor. The bolts heads were laying on the ground.

Awesome chair!
Pros: comfortable, ergonomic, easy assembly
Cons: a bit pricey
Very comfortable & helps those with back problems; chair 'breathes' - i.e. doesn't make you hot while sitting all day. It's a bit pricey, but worth it!

The bolts which hold the chair back to the frame broke off. The chair can't be fixed. The bolts are cast and not machined and used in a place where there is heavy stress on them.

As close to perfect as I've used
Pros: Quality of Material, functional, features, comfortable, Appearance/Design, Well Made/ Sturdy, Size & Weight
I had spinal fusion a couple of years ago and the traditional black office chair just didn't cut it anymore. This chair has the added feature of an adjustable seat depth so for short legged people such as myself, it's heaven sent. It has so many adjustment features that I don't see how anyone couldn't find the fit just for them. I've been using mine at work for over three years and it hasn't shown any signs of wear at all. I like this chair so much that I've even purchased one for home for sewing. No more back fatigue!

Better than 5 Stars
Pros: cool comfortable
Cons: casters were a litle difficult to fit in the stand
I highly recommend this chair. Assembly was a little challenging. It has adjustment features so you can adjust to your liking. It is very comfortable and the mesh back allows for air to circulate so you won't feel hot when used for prolonged period of time. The chair looks elegant and very professional. We ordered on line and it was delivered exactly on schedule.

Poor design or defective
Pros: nice looking
Cons: poor design of the back
I spent more than I usually do I this chair thinking it would be a better chair. It is not. Normally, I buy a leather high-back chair. I bought this one thinking it would be cooler (temperature-wise)because it is Mesh. The main, and very annoying, problem with this chair is the back. It is adjustable, up/down via clicks and is supposed ot lock in your desired position. It moves up/down by itself if you stand up and your back pushes up against the back. I'm forvever readjusting it to my desired positon. Even now, as I'm writing this, the back has moved up again and I must raise it all the way up and then back down to where I want it. To make it worse, I had to have it delivered and had no way of returning it. Bummer. I can't wait for it to reach a point where I need a new chair. I'm going back to leather!

Not Worth It
Pros: the mesh keeps you cool
Cons: chair sinks constantly, needs parts replaced frequently, arms can't be lowered very far
My office purchased 25 Quantum chairs for general employee use last year and since then, we've replaced the lift/lower stem on all of the chairs, two people have had the wheels fall off the chairs and people complain that they still can't get their chair to quit sinking randomly throughout the day. If you try to lean back, it either goes too far back and almost tips the chair over, or it pushes the seat forward and puts you in an uncomfortable position. If you lock the back, you're still likely to go flying if you lean back.
As for comfort, I cannot raise and lower the arms to a comfortable height or get the back to stabilize, despite locking the back of the chair. The mesh is moderately comfortable as long as your skin is not directly on it or it's rough and uncomfortable. Overall, I'm sorely disappointed in the quality and comfort of these 'ergonomic' chairs.

Great Chair!
My back was killing me and I realized it was time for a new chair. After sitting in the Realspace and testing the adjustments, I knew this was perfect. I was very happy with the price having spent much more in the past. The store manager had it assembled for me while I went to lunch. He personally loaded it into my car (good thing as my bad was in bad shape). After two days of use, my back felt great! I especially like that the seat can adjust forward or back, as well as up and down, and the mesh gives me vital air circulation (if you know what I mean). Thanks Office Depot!
