You get what you pay for
Seeing this is the only low-cost alternative, do not expect too much. The label constantly gets stuck with use and can get stuck inside the feeder. Once you cut the tape and it is wrapped in the feeder it falls into abyss, the machine will stop working. That's what eventually happened. My advice do not cut the label when it jams, pull out tape without cutting it .

it's ok
This is a nice hand held labeler, but I really prefer another brand (brother). The Brother sits like a typewriter and is easier to operate The Dymo is as it says hand held. I have had trouble finding how to make the labels larger, put a bracket around it, etc. It has one width only. If you want to walk and type, this is your labeler. If that is not your purpose, I would not recommend it.

OK
This labelmaker gets the job done, but with a hassle I didn't need: in order to type any punctuation at all, you have to pull up the symbols and scroll through to select. Ok, it only takes an extra few seconds, but after having a Brother prior to this one (until it died) with the punctuation right on the keys (activated by "shift" like a keyboard) it was a little disappointing.
Also, when the description says "5 fonts", all that means is 5 different sizes of type (NOT different fonts--this is misleading). And where it says "7 print styles", that just means bold, italic, etc.
Ok for the price, but if I had to choose again I'd probably get a Brother.

This is the best label maker ever. It's compact but still gets the job done. I am very pleased.

Review 7 for DYMO® LetraTag LT-100H Plus Handheld Label Maker
I have used this product more than I ever thought I would. It is handy and convenient. It also has memory so you don't have to retype each message. I'm a teacher and find it's as good in the classroom as it is for home.
