For the sale price I just bought it for the value can't be beat. I read the reviews listing clicking noises and lack of throughput as possible problems. I share this device over the school network and as I write this the drive is servicing 2 video feeds and a remote backup simultaneously with no apparent lag in any of it. I also just transferred a 52GB zip file to it and heard no clicking. Maybe these issues where pre or early production and have been resolved?

Good Price for Capacity Given

Pros: large capacity, sale price

Cons: noisy, chokes on large files

When I first got it, I was worried about the constant clicking noise, but after re-formatting it and using an in-line power switch between the wall and the transformer, I keep it turned off unless I need to use it.

It has a bad habit of "choking" if you try to load large files, but if you just load a little at a time, it does as well as expected, and you can get an error on the seek time sometimes.

But for it being on sale, it was a Good Price for Capacity Given, and so far continues to operate, sitting quietly on top of my PC until I switch it on.

Product does what it is suppose to do.

Pros: works as it should

Cons: keeps closing and opening up the windows folder

I bought this 3 days ago. So I am writing this with limited experience. First of all, the complaints that I read about from other users do not apply here. I had no noise problem.

Here is the problem I am having. After the hard drive starts up I get the normal window about opening up the drive...that's ok.

After a while, the window shuts down and I get the message windows about opening up the drive again. So far it hasn't caused any problems but I am concerned that there may be some other underlying problem.

So far the hard drive works as expected.

I will rate this a 4 out of 5.

Pros: good deal got is for $99 for 1.5tb

Cons: clicking noice

It's giving clicking noice and I got it replaced and the new one is also having the same but little low noice. And the new one, If I hold it in my hand I'm not able to hold it with two fingers. Because of the momentum of the disk rotation. I don't know if it is common problem. I still need to test it.

It is my pleasure to write the first review for this product. First thing I want to tell you is DO NOT BUY THIS.

I waited 2hrrs in freezing cold weather on a Black Friday thinking I'm getting 1.5 TB extra for cheap. It turned out I wasted my time.

The drive made a lot of clicking noise while transferring big files. It even froze my laptop completely at times.

This thing is going back and I want every penny refunded.
