Pros: price, interstate divide guidance
Cons: speedometer off, poin on the go such as nearest gas station is off
This Navigon 2100 mostly meets my expectatons and for the price it is an excellent buy.
Enter your destination and within seconds its mapped out your route. Optimum setting gives best results.
Highway traveling thorugh cities is the neatest feature. When you come upon a divide in the interstate then a visual window pops up with overhead signs of the choices you have--it looks exactly like the overhead signs on the interstate. The female voice will tell you what part of the road to stay on and the visual window will show you how the road divides and will put arrows on the road to show you the direction you should take. THIS MEANS YOU WILL ALWAYS SUCCESSFULLY MANAGE THROUGH AN INTERSTATE DIVIDE! This is worth the entire GPS unit. My wife will NEVER miss another interstate divide again.
Two features I did not like: the speedometer is off 5 mph (I sent in a Tech Support request with no answer yet) and the POI "on the go" feature. The POI on the go feature is kinda of confusing. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Anyway, I would like to be able to select the nearest gas station on the go and I can't see how this is done. It will show gas stations but it did not give me the nearest (which was just a mile exit and yet the on the go gas station was 12 miles up ahead???).
Great buy for the money. Easy to use. You must calibrate the sensitivity screen. Great window mount. I'll keep mine.
