Fabulous features but pick it up in person!
Pros: large enough to view documents side by side, high quality great resolution, light-weight space-saving, settings easy to adjust, 3-year warranty comes standard
Cons: difficult to get it delivered, no usb ports

I am ultra-picky when it comes to buying computer equipment. I don't like to spend a ridiculous amount of money, but I won't skimp on quality either! I checked out all the reviews listed here at officedepot.com for this monitor, as well as reviews for other monitors; so, many thanks to those who left reviews before me!

I work from home for a major hospital, and I literally have 10 programs open at the same time. This monitor allows me to easily view everything I need at the same time.

The 3-year warranty comes standard, which SPEAKS VOLUMES about the confidence you can have in the quality of the product!

The settings are easily adjusted, and the factory settings are set a bit too bright for the average person, so most users will want to dim it a bit. However, the extra brightness may actually be beneficial to those with diminished vision or "night blindness."

There really are no major cons as far as I'm concerned, but it would be nice/convenient if it had a USB port or two.

I highly recommend buying this in person or placing your order for store pickup--don't request delivery of this monitor. I'm not sure if the deliveries for this monitor are drop-shipped from the manufacturer or if they come from one of Office Depot's distribution centers, but I placed my first order online on 12/25/08, received an immediate order confirmation via email with a scheduled delivery of 12/31/08, only to receive an email on 12/29/08 telling me my order was being cancelled due to lack of inventory--it took them 4 days to figure that out?!?! Why? Determined to own one, I then ordered it online again, but this time, I set it up for in-store pickup. I received an immediate email confirmation, but confirmed it directly with the designated store anyway. I picked it up that same day. All in all, it was still worth the extra hassle (and then some), and I would still highly recommend one to a friend!

Great buy!
Pros: best buy for a large lcd monitor
Cons: will need to lower brightness levels

This monitor is big. I had a 21" LCD monitor before and this Acer 24" LCD is a whole lot bigger. The screen is too bright. It is not a big deal to adjust the brightness to a level that is pleasing to the eyes. If you don't lower the brightness level it will give you a headache in just a few minutes. This Acer 24" LCD monitor is by far the best buy for the buck. I was able to purchase for $249 with free shipping. Great buy!!!

Great bang for th buck
Pros: cost, size, resolution
Cons: not the best for adjusting the serttings

I bought this on sale a few weeks ago to replace a 19' monitor. It is a lot bigger on the desk than it looked in the store and I love it. Great picture, but the factory settings are a little too bright. Once adjusted it was a big help for old eyes.

Web and Graphics Designer - Loving these monitors!
Pros: great price no dead pixels widescreen
Cons: no height adjustment, factory settings way too bright

I originally bought 1, went back bought a 2nd, then went back and got 2 more so I now have 4 of these on my desk (no joke 4 - 24inch monitors at once).
I do graphic design and webdesign and out of the box these are TOO BRIGHT (factory settings) but within about 3 mins I had them all balanced and looking great!
I do not play video games so I can't comment on that aspect, but in photoshop and web design apps these are fantastic looking monitors!
The sale they had made them $279 each, and the 3 yr warranty is a plus too, they look great and hopefully I get many years of use from them.
BTW not one single dead pixel on any of the 4 units I bought, so that made me very happy as well...

BTW the monitor can be tilted - but takes a bit of pressure to tilt back. I am VERY happy with these 4 monitors on my desk!

WOW! This montior is great for WoW!
Pros: huge! the price is great!, wall mountable, digital hd connections if you have the video card
Cons: cant adjust height/angle. solvable with wall mount, factory setting is spuer bright. no biggie...

I got this last night and I can't sing it's praises enough! It was $120 off and was cheaper than ALL the 22" monitors except Samsung, they were the same price. $279 on sale. After comparing ALL the stats I found only one difference between this one and samsung. the samsung had 3ms response time and this one has 5ms response time.
Since I am using this monitor to play world of warcraft I called my dad who builds computers and asked him about this difference and he said to my naked eye I wouldn't notice a difference, and I DON'T! It runs perfectly smoothly... even in oggrimarr I barely loose frame rates and not enough to cause it to jump or lag. (for those of you who play wow)
The facotry brightness made my eyes squint in a fully lit room, LOL But a simple adjustment solved that.
It is capable of digital connections and high def viewing...
With a 3 year warrenty You just can't beat this monitor!
I LOVE IT! My boyfriend is SO jealous (he bought the samsung 3 months ago...)

Perfect for Business Users
Pros: cost, size

I am at this screen 12-14 hrs/day. It's not as vibrant as my Apple 23" monitor, but for my purposes (coding) it works perfectly.
Love the size, brightness is great. Everyone compliments me on the monitor, and when we have scheduled training, people like to come to my office and watch on the "big" monitor.

Good bang for the buck
Pros: size! it's huge!, price/performance, quality construction, clarity. good color reproduction
Cons: factory settings set way too bright.

I bought this monitor after comparing over a dozen 24" monitors. I found this monitor to have the best combination of features for this price range. Views from side angles are very good.; less so from above or below. The frame and stand are sturdy and well built. It comes with both VGA and DVI cables.
The monitor comes from the factory with the brightness turned all the way up. There are 5 quick access customizeable setting choices including User, Text, Standard, Graphics, and Movie. You will want to turn the brightness almost all the way off for some of these settings; it's that bright! Varying the brightness on the 5 choices makes changing brightness for different conditions very easy. The OSD feature makes the monitor even brighter, so I don't use it.
The monitor came with zero dead/stuck pixels and presents crisp clear images and text. It's light enough to mount on a Ergotron arm. Games such as Call of Duty 4 present excellent detail in high speed action scenes. Colors are bright, blacks are black (no backlight leakage),.

Nice Monitor
Pros: large screen good price
Cons: no height or tilt adjustment

Very nice monitor. No dead pixs. It comes from the factory with the brightness a little on the high side. Any average user can figure out the menu on the monitor to adjust the brightness to a desired level. Viewing angle is good.

Great Deal
Pros: great price
Cons: none

We love our Acer monitor. The screen size is huge. This monitor looks just as good as ones that cost hundreds more. You can not beat Acer's 3 year warranty.

Kills my eyes and head
Pros: inexpensive, nice mechanical design
Cons: terrible on the eyes, gives me a headache after 10-15 minutes, way too bright, viewing angle limited

On paper this looks like a great monitor. And on my desk it looks really slick. But when I try to use it, it gives me a splitting headache. I can't explain why, but it just seems like stuff is dancing around and I have to look away after a few minutes.
My 14 inch Lenovo laptop has a much better display. After a little research, it turns out this Acer uses TN technology, while my laptop uses S-IPS. The other good ones are PVA and MVA. But stay away from this TN junk. It may look fine in the store, but you just can't use it with a white background, working on a spreadsheet, a word doc, or a browser. It kills.
If you want a TV to view from across the room, then maybe it's OK.
