I broke my tailbone 2 yrs ago and it's difficult to sit in most desk chairs. This one is the exception. Well padded seat, arms, nice lumbar and head support make this chair perfect!

After going through 3 chairs in this price range I found this one to be one I am finally satisfied with. Two of the other chairs were well beyond the price point of this chair and fell quite short of the comfort of this chair.
The instructions could be a little more clear on what is the front and back of the bottom mounting plate and I admit I bolted it on backwards due to a left/right issue. Really depends on if you are relating the instructions from looking from the front or back, a two minute set back.
Pros: The casters roll without much problem on my rug and the arm rests are padded, long and wrap the front of the rest. The height is just right form me to type while resting my arms on them. Plush hasn't been built in a office chair in my opinion, but this one is comfortable.
Cons: The tilt locks in the upright position and unlocked it tilts (with adjustable tension) however it would be nice to see at least one or two levels of lockable tilt. I have an elevated foot rest so unlocked and tension increased I control the extra tilt comfortably by having my feet elevated on the foot rest without having to put them on the floor.

Seams, metal bar/rod under seat and flat cushion
I thought this chair looked plump and soft to sit in. After sitting in this chair for 3 or 4 hours your bum starts to hurt because of four things that I feel are a bad design flaw.
1. There is a seam about 3 inches from the back of the chair seat that is hard and uncomfortable for your bum.
2. The WORST thing about this chair is that underneath the seam is a round metal bar/rod. When putting your feet up to relax your bum really feels this bar!
3.There is NOT sufficient padding in the seat to protect your bum from feeling the metal bar!
4. The arm rests are padded BUT the seams make indents on your arm if you rest them there for more than 15 min.

Fabulous Teacher Chair
Pros: soft, easily adjusted height, contoured, wide sturdy base
Cons: great big guys try a different chair.
When I went to purchase this chair, I had a list of specifications from my physical therapist. I am severely arthritic, and it is not easy to find the perfect chair for all those hours of paper grading and replying to parental e-mails. I am a fairly short person, so although I wanted a fairly high seat (bad knees) and good thigh support, I didn't want a back so high that my head would be meeting the indented place where some great big guy's mid-back would be. Also, many chairs height-adjustment bar waaaay in back and under the chair, so a short-armed woman would be out of luck, since you have to be seated while you adjust the height. This chair has a lever about 2/3 of the way back, and I can reach it more easily.
Many of the newer chairs cut costs by providing chair arms that are about six inches long. I needed full support for my arms. I had been told to look for adjustable arms, but because these are at exactly the right height for me, I could live without that feature. I like the full length arms.
I love the soft, cushy feeling in the seat and back of this chair, and it is leather, NOT naugahyde/imitation leather, which will stick to you in hot weather. The base provides solid support. You will notice that the back and seat are both contoured. If you are a really big person, this chair may be too small for you. For me, and probably many women and smaller men, it is perfect.
Previous to this purchase, I bought a chair from a major online store, and it came with a broken lift pump and a major shipping fee that I had to fight to get refunded. Office Depot, on the other hand, delivered excellent customer service. I think I sat in almost every chair in their store, and there was a large selection. They were out of this one, so I was able to get it online, and they didn't charge a penny for shipping/delivery!
My husband did remark that this chair was more complicated to assemble than most. I told him he won't have to assemble another desk chair for a very long time. This is the best desk chair I have ever had!

Love this chair
Pros: padding, lumber support, padding to support your head
This chair is just great. I have a really bad back and the lumber support is great. I can not sit in many desk chairs for that long, and this chair is perfect for me.
It is well padded ,very comfortable .. The adjustments are easy to use and the padding at the top of the chair where your head goes is great support to keep your body aligned.

Cheap quality plastic parts. Scratched on one side and cracked on another side on my first order. I came in-store for an exchanged and still received scratches on the armrest on my 2nd order. Lucky for me, I opened the box in front of the employees prior to going home.
The leather parts were great condition, but not the plastics. Beware!

5 stars all across because I just received it, hopefully this won't change.
Assembly was very easy, as they already provided you with the tools; it shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to assemble even for those who aren't handy with tools. Theres a slight odor, but it isn't as strong as people claim it to be, and it'll probably go away in a few days.
The chair itself is very luxurious and comfortable, almost identical to the the seats in first class flights, although it isn't as wide, but for the price it definitely is a steal and you won't have to suffer with economy ;)
The only thing I'm weary about is the durably of the softness, and that it might become flat after extended use, but I guess I can't ask for memory foam in this price range.
Also, the arm rest has very little resistance against the arm, great for those who play FPS or just generally move their arm around a lot.
Overall very satisfied, extremely fast shipping, and ease of use/assembly.

This chair is comfortable and appears to be reasonably sturdy. For the low price it's the best of the many chairs I tried at several stores.
Adjustable height and tilt work smoothly. Assembly took about 15 mins and was pretty simple. Even includes allen wrenches to fit. Color matches my espresso stained desk well.
All in all, a good value. There are certainly better chairs on the market but in this price range I don't know that you'll do much better.

Fell apart in 6 months -- utter junk

I was really pleased when I bought this chair. It's good-looking and VERY confortable.
Unfortunately, it's also a piece of junk. Within 6 months, the left arm had failed, which is what supports the chair's back, and the chair was completely useless.
The arms are made of some kind of resin or plastic material, and they're not up to the job. The left arm failed, cracking and breaking through at all the holes where the screws penetrate it to fasten it to the rest of the chair.
Bad design, bad engineering, bad choice of materials, or all three.
DO NOT GET THIS CHAIR!
If you do, then get the extended warranty. You'll need it.

good but not great
Bough this chair 6 months ago, sit on it 8+ hours a day. I was watching some poker show and they were siting in this chair, after 4 days of research i found and bought it. The chair looks very nice and for the first few weeks was comfortable but the seating padding flattened over time and now I'm already looking for a new chair. Its not a bad chair for normal use but i wont be buying it again.

I purchased this chair October 31, 2009. By March 1, 2010 there was a stress crack on the right arm and by March 15 the entire arm broke off.
I purchased this item directly from the store.
I am now waiting for a replacement arm which I am told is on BACKORDER.
That should tell you something.....it's a DEFECTED CHAIR.

I love this chair. Very comfortable. I would never purchase again though as it's proven to be a huge defect. Spend the $200 on a different manufacturer and this time read the reviews FIRST!

The Wheels Broke!
This is a great chair in that it is very comfortable and doesn't hurt my back. However, after owning the chair for only a year, one of the wheels has broken off. I'm going to see how difficult it is to get these things replaced, but I'm sure it won't be easy!
