I don't want to get up!

Pros: Quality of Material, functional, features, Appearance/Design, comfortable, Size & Weight, Well Made/ Sturdy
Cons: Easily Damaged, Difficult to Assemble
This is the most comfortable desk chair I have ever had. I am 6 foot 5 and about 250 and it feels so nice on my back to finally have some support. Big seat with lots of padding. This chair looks great and is made great.

Top Quality Product !!!

Pros: Quality of Material, functional, features, Appearance/Design, comfortable, Well Made/ Sturdy
I rarely write reviews on products. They either have to be super good or very bad for me to spend the time.
This chair is outstanding!
It is extremely well built, very comfortable and has top quality parts. The leather is very soft and the cushion is great. It is a fine looking chair and has the appeal of costing much more than what was paid for it. At $179.99 this is a steal for what you get. I found an online $30 coupon and knocked it down to $149 plus tax with free two day shipping.
All I can say is that I feel like I got the best out of this deal. I can not say enough about this chair. They really outdid themselves with this product.

Very Nice!

Pros: Quality of Material, Appearance/Design, comfortable, Well Made/ Sturdy
Cons: Difficult to Assemble
I took a risk and bought this chair online (wasn't available in stores at the time I made my purchase). The appearance, positive reviews, and LA-Z-Boy name were enough for me to place the order. I could not be happier! The quality of the materials (I love the feel of the soft leather) and the overall style and appearance exceeded my expectations. I weigh about 220 lbs. and I have plenty of room and the seat is very comfortable. The lumbar support is just right for me. The wood trim is all solid wood and really adds to the beauty of the chair. The only negative was a minor item. The wood plugs used to cover the screw holes were too small to fit and stay in place, so I had to spend a lot of time adding tape to each piece so they would fit securely in place. That small issue aside, I am very pleased with this product!

Outstanding Purchase

Pros: Quality of Material, comfortable, Appearance/Design, Well Made/ Sturdy
Cons: Difficult to Assemble
I purchased the La-Z-Boy 2000 Series Leather Chair. The chair is beautiful, have had many compliments on it's appearance and it's very comfortable, even for a big man like myself ! Ordering was simple. Delivery was prompt. Most of the assembly was simple, although a few steps were difficult especially connecting the arms to the seat and the back. Did assemble it myself (someone to assist would help). Overall I'm very happy with the chair and look forward to years of comfort this beautiful, well made chair should provide !

Great Looks! Very sturdy

Pros: Quality of Material, Appearance/Design, comfortable, Well Made/ Sturdy
Cons: not enough height travel
This is a great chair. Not to bad to put together, it took me about a half hour. Only complaint is the hydraulic ram does not allow the chair to go high enough. Customer service was no help at all so I found a replacement lift on the internet that gave me about 5 inches more travel. That did the trick and I am now very happy.

Great Office Chair

Pros: Quality of Material, functional, comfortable, Appearance/Design, Well Made/ Sturdy
Cons: Difficult to Assemble
The chair is reasonably priced, good looking, sturdy and very comfortable.
If there is a down side to the chair it is the very difficult assembly. Not all of the twenty bolts will initially align properly with the threaded inserts. Heed the instruction to leave the bolts loose until all of them have been properly started. Attaching the arms is particularly difficult since the back assembly must be forced into place to align the bolt holes. Once all of the bolts have been aligned and partially threaded, they can finally all be tightened.
Be prepared to spend at least a couple of hours unpacking and assembling the chair.

Excellent well-made sturdy comfortable chair!

Pros: Quality of Material, functional, features, Appearance/Design, comfortable, Size & Weight, Well Made/ Sturdy, genuine soft leather
I did a lot of research, including visiting furniture stores, and for the most part all the executive chairs in this price range were flimsy plastic junk, which is fine if one is thin but is not so good when one has big bones and is not so thin.
This chair is extremely well-made, sturdy, and comfortable!
The star-base has a solid wood covering, but underneath the sculpted solid wood there is a vastly sturdy, high-gauge steel framework, so the chair is sitting on a steel frame base that has solid wood covering done in the way the wood stock at the front of a rifle is done, and the solid wood pieces are approximately 1/2" thick on the sides but thicker at the tops, and everything is top quality.
The arm rests are solid wood, and the leather covering for the seat and seat back, as well as the arm rests is excellent quality and matched with respect to color and texture. Again, it is high quality material.
Assembly is done with sturdy bolts that have Allen wrench fittings for tightening, and the two Allen wrenches are provided in the bubble pack parts kit, so no additional tools are required.
It took about 45 minutes to an hour to assemble the chair, and this was due in part to taking my time to ensure that everything was done correctly, which includes being very careful to ensure that none of the bolts was cross-threaded as the result of starting them at the wrong angle or whatever.
The instructions are very clear, and all the parts (including the seat bottoms) are marked with indicators like "front", "back", and so forth, as well as the bolts being identified by letter-number symbols that match the printed instructions.
The great aspect of using the supplied Allen wrenches is that this ensures that the bolts are correctly torqued or tightened, and the bolts have a blue plastic "non-slip" coating in the middle, which is another example of the outstanding quality of this chair.
If I assembled these chairs as a job, I think it could be done in perhaps 10 minutes per chair, but I am fine with it taking approximately an hour to do everything carefully, because it is a truly excellent chair, hence taking a bit more time to assemble it thoughtfully makes sense to me.
Regarding size, I wear 46W slacks and XL polo shirts, and I weigh approximately 250 pounds, so connect the dots with respect to my opinion that this is a sturdy chair, which is certainly is, for sure.
And as noted by other reviewers, this is a heavy chair, which is due to the material being sturdy, strong, and structurally solid.
The tilt spring is strong, and it adjusts nicely. The height control lever has a locking position that prevents tilting backward, which is handy, and the hydraulic lifter is sturdy.
My overall perspective on this chair is that it is remarkably well-designed and manufactured, and if the seat padding material weakens over time, I can repad it with some type of high-end memory foam or whatever makes sense. If the hydraulic lifter stops working after a while, I can augment it a piece of solid metal pipe, since the full height is perfect for me.
This might be an odd perspective, but the things that are difficult if not impossible for me to do (seats, leather, work, overall design, woodwork, and so forth) are solid and stellar in every respect, so my focus is on being able to maintain the chair over the long run, and this chair certainly is maintainable.
If you are a big person, then the fact of the matter is that the leather seats of a Lincoln Towncar are great, and I like this chair as much as the driver's seat of a Lincoln Towncar, and for me the lumbar (lower back) support of this chair is perfect.
Summarizing, if you visit a furniture store and try a lot of chairs with the overall result that you think to yourself, "I remember when chairs were well made", then this is the chair, because it is well designed and well made, for sure.
This might be the last of the reasonably priced, affordable, and great chairs. And it earns me five stars for outstanding chair researching and shopping, for sure.

needs some padding on the seat

Pros: great style leather and cherry
Cons: like sitting on a flat rock
I received the chair and put it together easy enough and was very happy with style and looks. But on the second day I felt like I was sitting on a hard piece of wood and essentially was. Was bummed because I really liked the chairs looks and style but I can't livve with a chair that feels like a rock. Especially a Lazy Boy. Now all I need is my money back still waiting on that.

Looking for a comfortable chair and I found it!

Pros: comfortable, attractive, high quality
Cons: tricky to assemble, heavy
I bought this chair for my husband for our anniversary. He absolutely loves it! I was looking for an ergonomic chair, but I did not want to spend an excessive amount of money. He has a bad back so if a chair isn’t well padded and doesn’t give him good support, he can't use it. This chair is cushioned very well in the back and seat especially. And it gets even more comfortable the longer you use it once the leather gets broken in.
I highly recommend this chair to anyone looking for a chair that will be used for long stretches at a time. There are so many models of office chairs on the market today that I wasn't looking forward to driving from place to place looking for the perfect chair. I got lucky that I found this one right away!
It is heavy like the other reviews say but I have no problem gliding it around and I'm very petite. We're using it on a hard floor, though. Maybe on carpet it would be more difficult.

A Big Online Mistake!!

Pros: leather and padding
Cons: everything else as below
Have never written a review but I must for this product. Chair is extremely heavy, as office chairs go. Pretty easy on the swivel but to move the chair on its wheels from a sitting position, or to push back in a reclining position takes the strength of Samson. This is a very heavy chair, much too heavy I believe, for office use. The 'attractiveness' of the wooden arms and base do not compensate for the resulting severely reduced manoeuverability. As it is, it's best to simply sit in this chair with swivel as the only motrion.
I agree with other reviewer that lumbar suport is too high. In addition, the height adjustment is inadequate. (This con was also noted by a reviewer t the La-Z-Boy 1000 which preceded the 2000) Moreover, the seat base is not horizontal to the floor but slopes downward, which further reduces lumbar support. At its maximum height adjustment, the chair sits too low even for a short man such as myself.
The only redeeming feature of this chair is the soft top grain leather. If I had the opportunity to try this chair in the store, I most definitely would not have bought it.

Exactly what I wanted!

Pros: good looking - high quality construction
Cons: assembly is really a two person job
This is a great looking chair! Very high quality construction. The leather is thick and soft. The solid wood arms and legs have a beautiful grain and color. Looks like a chair that would cost twice as much.
The extra thick padding makes it comfortable for extended use. I sit in it 8 - 10 hours a day. The lumbar support is a little higher than in other chairs I've used. It also has a fairly deep seat. Perfect for a taller person.
I assembled it myself but it would have been much easier with a second set of hands. The padding on the back is so thick that you have to use some force to pull it toward you in order to get the holes to line up. Quite hard to do while you're simultaneously trying to screw in the bolts. Be sure to assemble it near where you want to use it because this chair weighs a ton! It's the heaviest chair I've ever owned.
I'm VERY happy with this purchase! I'm sure I'll get many years of use out of it.
