Excellent Desk
Pros: Appearance/Design, comfortable, functional, Quality of Material, Well Made/ Sturdy
Cons: assembly took me 2 hours

Bought this exact desk today (9-15-09) at office depot because of the $99.99 sale price, I outgrew my old desk with my new equipment, and the desk space is exactly what i needed. Awesome quality, professional look, extremely sturdy. It was fairly easy to assemble, just time consuming (took me about 2 hours). None of the pieces were damaged and not all of the pieces were labeled but it's pretty easy to figure out what goes where. Other than assembly, I'm certainly satisfied with this desk for the price and quality. If you're looking for a desk with a reasonable amount of desk space and not looking to spend a lot, definitely recommend it.

Good desk. Here are some REAL tips!
Pros: Appearance/Design, comfortable, functional, Well Made/ Sturdy
Cons: Difficult to Assemble

I got this desk at a bargain price from a promotion. The quality seems to be good for the price. It is made from particle board, so I'm not sure how long the finish can last, but for now it is very sturdy and I'm happy with it.

Yes, the instructions are confusing. It took me 5 hours last night to assemble it. I'm a very cautious person, so I may have taken me more than other people would spend.

I would like to share some tips I think can be valuable during the time you assemble it:

1. How to identify rails.

Do NOT look too close at the figures or the rails on Page 3. The position of the rollers are wrong! USE THE MARKS ON THE RAILS TO IDENTIFY them (CABINET RIGHT, CABINET LEFT etc). Here is what I did:

a) Look at Page 7 UPSIDE-DOWN. That is a picture of the desk when it is almost assembled. (btw: Saunder should put this picture on the first page of the instructions.) This gives you an idea where the parts are in the finished desk. You will see that C2 and A2 are the left and right boards of the drawer cabin, and the keyboard pad will be between D and C2.

b) The NUMBERED rails are for drawers assembly, and the UNNUMBERED ones are for the keyboard pad assembly.

c) The upper drawer is smaller so it uses shorter rails.

d) Take a look at your kitchen drawers' rails by pulling them out, and you will have a better idea what's going on.

e) Put the matching rails on the boards and match the holes before you screw any of them.

2. Try the drawers on before you fix the two cabinets onto the top. That is, after Page 5, skip to Page 10. Assemble the drawers and put them onto the assembled cabinets, so that you can make sure they fit.

3. On Page 7, put the MODESTY PANEL (F) on before tighten the hidden cams to the top, but don't tighten any screws. This way you can ensure the MODESTY PANEL can fit into its space. If you tighten the hidden cams before you put F in, you may find the space too tight.

4. Don't use phillips driver to tighten hidden cams. These things need very high torque in order to get to the required 210 degree position. A philips driver can't provide enough torque for this and will probably destroy the slot.

That's all I can say. Don't worry. The parts are well-designed and everything will fit well.

Nice Desk-Reasonable Price
Pros: Appearance/Design, features, functional, Quality of Material, Well Made/ Sturdy
Cons: Difficult to Assemble, assembly instructions not in proper order.

This computer desk was just as it appeared in the picture. It was actually nicer than I expected--sturdy with roomy drawers. Even though it was not an expensive piece of furniture, it was not cheap-looking. Just what I needed for my home office.

However, the assembly instructions leave something to be desired as is the case with most furniture that needs assembled. All the pieces and hardware were included, but the instructions were not in the proper sequence.

Other than that, I am well pleased with my desk, and it came in only two days!

Horrendous instructions, drawers hit each other
Pros: price
Cons: Difficult to Assemble, Quality: Flimsy, drawers scrap

We bought this desk for a new computer for the kids in the family room. We say it set up in the store.

It's made by Sauder using an Office Depot label.

Frankly, the instructions are horrible. It took me quite awhile. The main reason is the hardware part pieces are not labled as to what part they are (A, B, etc.) and several look alike. The wood part pieces are labled.

The desk is poor quality. The drawers hang on each other and the lower drawer scraps on the desk. No matter how much I adjust the drawers something still isn't right.

Beautiful desk
Pros: Appearance/Design, comfortable, features, functional, Quality of Material, Size & Weight, Well Made/ Sturdy, beautiful piece of furniture
Cons: parts could have been better marked

I purchased this desk online and got a bargain with a $20 off coupon plus office depots $50 instant rebate savings. It was home delivered FREE the next day and my husband put it together for me. It took him nearly 4 hours from start to finish to assemble it..he said the rails gave him a hard time because of not being marked good. All I know is that it is assmebled and makes my office look so rich..the warm wood tone is gorgeous. The desk is very sturdy and solid. I too did not put the backing on the tower cabinet,so it doesn't get too hot. If anyone reading this is hesitant, I say buy it,,you will love it !!

Highly Recommended
Pros: Appearance/Design, comfortable, functional, Quality of Material, Size & Weight, Well Made/ Sturdy

This was the easiest desk I've ever put together. All of the pieces were marked and they all lined up perfectly. The pictures of the many screws was also helpful as they were "actual size" and color coded. I highly recommend this desk for whatever application.

Hands Down the Best Desk I've Bought
Pros: Appearance/Design, features, functional, Well Made/ Sturdy
Cons: Difficult to Assemble

I have been looking for a solid wood 5x2 desk that isn't expensive and finally, reluctantly, went with two of these desks. They are made from particle board which I REALLY didn't want, but my opinion has completely changed. This desk is the perfect size, and very sturdy when assembled. I think the weight of the desk is about 125 lbs which could be a + or - depending on how you look at it. It takes a while to assemble mainly due to the number of pieces, but also none of the rails are labeled so it takes some time figuring out which to use (ALL are different). I would recommend not putting on the back to the computer cubby due to heat issues, or modify it to allow ventilation. After a couple hours my equipment was too hot to touch so I removed the back panel. Not a big deal unless you have the desk placed in a way that the back is visible (like in the middle of a room). Also, the right and left sides are not the same width. The drawers on the right are wider than the computer cubby on the left. Not a big deal to me but I didn't notice that when I bought it online. Finally I wish that the keyboard tray had a bit more vertical space so I could use the mouse without pulling the tray out. All are very minor complaints. Overall I love these desks. The finish is nicer than expected, loads of room, and very very well built. I will be looking for this brand for future office equipment for sure.

Great desk, but
Pros: Appearance/Design, functional
Cons: Difficult to Assemble

I grabbed this desk on sale for $90 plus shipping, I couldn't have asked for a better desk for the money. but, This IS particle board, until I had the top on, it felt fairly unstable, but once it's together, it felt solid as a rock. THe assembly instructions leave a lot to be desired, but just study them cloesly and you shouldn't have problems. Just make sure the you have at least 2-4 hours free to assemble it. My Pc gets a bit hot in the computer cupboard, So i leave the back off of it. I would definitely buy this again if it were on sale.

Excellent product
Pros: Appearance/Design, Quality of Material, Size & Weight, Well Made/ Sturdy

Very easy to assemble. Nice and sturdy. Very, very pleased. Computer compartment does run extremely hot, so I'll probably remove the back cover for more ventilation.
I bought this desk through slickdeals.net and paid only $80 for it. For that price, it simply can't be beat.

Great looks and value!
This is a beautiful desk with easy to follow instructions. The cupboard for the tower doesn't have enough ventilation unless you leave the back panel off, so ours, which runs hot, sits outside the desk, but that leaves the cupboard free for other things. There's a shelf in there, too, so it's quite convenient. The drawers and door are a bit tricky to line up, but I finally managed and it's perfect! This doesn't look like something I got for under $200. Very sturdy and lovely craftsmanship.

Wow! Instructions
Cons: terrible directions

I actually made an account just to review this product.
First off, i shopped around for quite a while before buying this desk. The desk itself is great. It's exactly what i wanted.
On the other hand, the instructions are awful. The directions have you building the desk in the opposite order that you should.
When it comes to constructing the desk look at what the finished product should be and do what you feel is best. whatever you come up with can't possibly be worse than the instructions. thank goodness i've built desks before, so i caught these problems before it really caused me too much of headache.
That being said, once you've finished the desk, you will enjoy it.

A Good Value
Pros: good value
Cons: frustrating assembly

I bought this for my son's room. I knew it would get a lot of hard use so I didn't want to invest too much.

It's actually a good little unit! Assembly is always a pain, that's a given. But it seems very sturdy & does the job.

Definately worth the price!

Great desk
Pros: solid desk
Cons: terrible assembly instructions

Shopped around quite a bit before setteling on this unit. While shopping at Office Depot, I was treated with incredible curtousey which actually helped tip the scales in this direction.

The desk is solid and has a very nice appearence. Although not the "top of the line", it will suit my purposes for many years to come.

Assembly was fairly straight forward, but had some issues with the roller rails... the instructions were terrible on these rails... but having had experience with "assemble yourself" furniture, (yeah, I'm cheap), I was able to muddle through it.

All in all, I am very happy with this experience
